The biggest supermarket, called Tommy Hipermarket, is at the ferry port, 1 km from the house. There are two smaller supermarkets, one also Tommy, that are fine for most things, in the town centre, near the top of the harbour, also about 1 km from the house. There are bakers, a butcher, a fruit and veg market, fish market and wine shops in the same location, and a deli in the heart of the old town. 

Assuming you don't have a car, a good strategy is to do a big shop at the ferry port and do top ups when you go into the town, as you are likely to do often. There is a backpack and shopping bags that can be used for carrying groceries.

You can order groceries from the Tommy Hipermarket on their app, which is in English and Croatian, for up to 3 days in advance. You need to specify a one-hour slot for collection. Robert can collect it for you. He charges €15 for that.

There is small supermarket in the ferry terminal building in Split if you need some things before you arrive. It is open 7 days a week.
